Bio
Vast experience in local, state government and the not for profit sector has given me an extensive practical and theoretical understanding of strategic policy development, public art, curating, socially engaged arts practice, collection management, funding, and community cultural development. With post graduate qualifications in Leadership and Management, Art History and Anthropology, I have considerable appreciation and a deep understanding of leadership, art, community and culture. Career highlights include leading and curating ngurrak barring I RidgeWalk, a national cultural tourism initiative, the creation of and coordination of Immerse, now attracting national and international media, management of several major public art initiatives, the curation of Desert Mob and other national touring exhibitions. I have project managed several public art projects, many within the context of major suburb renewals and place making activities. I am experienced in all aspects of collection management, having managed several art collections across Australia. Widespread experience working with communities has led to many ongoing cultural development initiatives across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. I have expert level funding knowledge, which has resulted in securing several large government grants. The author of a number of strategic art policies plans and reports, I am a practised strategic thinker resulting in the delivery of many creative strategies, plans and policies across Australia.
I am based in Melbourne, Australia but love any excuse to travel :)
